UK Rail Major Stations

Network Rail manage and operate the national rail network in the UK. Wendy worked within Design Research Unit to lead their team in developing wayfinding solutions for major stations.

 

The stations range from new builds through to stations with significant heritage values; each one unique, each one complex. They are some of the busiest stations in the world, some handling around 100 million entry and exit passengers annually. The wayfinding scheme is consistent across the stations in terms of style, material and strategy.
